We remember cupping this coffee on the table and instantly knowing it was special. Its complex floral character stood apart — delicate yet expressive. During roast trials, one customer described the coffee as “Shubhra”, meaning white — a name that beautifully reflects its clean cup, soft brightness, and graceful aromatics.
This coffee reminds us of jasmine in bloom and soothing lavender, making it one of the most unique and memorable offerings in our collection. Carefully processed using a controlled anaerobic culture fermentation, Shubhra delivers clarity, elegance, and layered florals rarely found in Indian coffees.

Process - The coffee underwent controlled fermentation using specific a yeast culture in oxygen-free stainless steel tanks. The "culture process" refers to inoculating coffee cherries with particular microbial strains to create predictable, enhanced floral flavours
After fermentation, the coffee then was dried on raised beds for 28 days.
About the Producer - Ashok Patre is the third-generation grower at Ratnagiri Estate, a farm nestled in the biodiverse hills of Chikmagalur. Under his care, the estate has become a benchmark for innovation in Indian coffee — with controlled fermentations, shade-grown biodiversity, and a deep focus on clarity and terroir. His work blends scientific precision with ecological intention, producing coffees that are consistently expressive, clean, and memorable.
